Meharry Medical College would like to invite you to join us in viewing the TEDmed 2017 convention here in Nashville, TN at Meharry Medical College. For your enjoyment, we will be hosting the livestream feed from the TEDmed conference occurring in Palm Springs, California here at Meharry. Our three day conference will parallel various aspects of the TED conference through networking opportunities and discussion panels. For those that are not familiar with TED, the organization invites revolutionary speakers from various fields to share their thoughts and accomplishments. These inspiring presentations encourage participants to see topics in new and innovative ways. The theme for this health conference revolves around the notion of "limitless":

As we work to make advances that will shape a healthier humanity, progress is incremental but vision is unbounded. We create a healthier world by working in that fertile zone between the limited (knowledge, resources, time) and the limitless (imagination, creativity, curiosity).
As soon as one solution is discovered, we start a new race to do it faster, better, grander. One innovator's finish line is the next great invention's starting block. One study's endpoint becomes the springboard for the next groundbreaking discovery. As soon as we reach one limit, someone starts figuring out how to surpass it. Ultimately, our desire to make an impact requires us to redirect our focus from the limits to the limitless.
This is how we, as a society, move constantly and collaboratively forward. This year's event will focus on that productive tension between "what is" and "what if," the inspiration that continues to drive us further into what's possible—into the realm of the limitless.
