About Us

The mission of the Periodontal Interest Group is to bring together students who wish to explore the specialty of periodontics. Meharry wants to raise interest and educate dental students on the practices of periodontology, ranging from scaling and root planing to dental implants and various types of surgeries performed by periodontists. This interest group will also provide students with resources to better prepare applicants for periodontal residency programs.
