 GSA PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING MIXER

As discussed in our past GSA meetings, we are planning a March Professional Social event which will encompass all local professional schools (Vanderbilt, Belmont, TSU, etc). The event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday March 15th.  We are super excited about this awesome opportunity to network! But, we need your help! We are currently finalizing the venue. Items which still require assistance include: food and drink, advertising, and organizing the activities during the event. If you are interested in assisting with planning of this event, we have scheduled a meeting on Monday, Feb. 3rd at 5:00pm in room 2006. Please come with ideas and enthusiasm!!!!  This is an opportunity to become part of something this campus nor Nashville has ever seen before...a true display of comradery among all the diverse professionals in Nashville.  If you have any questions and/or concerns, please feel free to contact Stephanie Pulliam (Spulliam09@email.mmc.edu) or any of the GSA E-Board members. Thank you.

RESEARCH WEEK 2014 (March 10-15)

Research Week is a week for graduate students to showcase their research!  The committee has tons of events planned but will need LOTS of help to carry them out.  We will need help with advertising, planning, we need volunteers from EACH program to speak with undergraduate students about their journey to Meharry, food/menu planning and ordering, gifts for speakers, etc.  If you have ideas for events that you would like to add to or edit for Research Week please bring them with you to this meeting as they are more than welcome!  The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday February 5th 2014 @5PM in WBS Rm 2006.  Please contact Joseph Smith at Jtsmith11@email.mmc.edu if you have any questions.  We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!  The tentative events scheduled for the week are listed below:
