I hope your week is off to a great start! We just want to update you on a few things from the Office of Student Life.


Student Leaders Training
Below is the link to the Meharry Intranet page with information about student leaders training. Note: you will have to login using your meharry username and password to access the intranet page.

All the links to the presentations and forms are posted on the intranet page along with the link to the test. Please review all the information and take the test by September 12th. If you have questions or concerns, please let us know. We're looking forward to a productive year!

Ross Fitness Center and Student Intramurals (2 forms attached)
Please continue to complete the Ross Fitness Center participation waiver forms online. We need everyone's form in order to extend the hours from 6 AM - 8 PM to 5 AM - Midnight. The ideal situation would be to have all forms in by 8/15/2013.

Proposed fitness classes for this year based on your feedback from the survey sent earlier in the year are Zumba, Bootcamp, Hip-hop and/or martial arts. We are awaiting approval and will tentatively start classes the week of September 16th. The schedule will be posted online and on flyers across campus. Please keep an eye out for more information.

The tentative start date for the intramural softball season is the week of September 9th. More information will be provided at a later date. A team captain meeting will take place in the Ross Fitness Center this Friday, August 16th at 5:30 PM. We are limited to 8 teams and that may decrease to 6. The first 6- 8 complete team roster forms to be turned in (via email - studentservices@mmc.edu, in person - Old Hubbard Hospital, 1st Floor from the Dr. D. B. Todd Jr. Blvd entrance, or by fax to 615-963-3171) will be the teams that play this year. Team roster forms are due by August 21st at 5 PM.

Before the season starts, each participant must also complete the waiver-consent for intramural sports (this is different from the fitness center participation waiver).
