Meet our new E-Board Members!!
Parliamentarian:Gabriel Nkemeh is a MS4 from the Chicagoland area. He is interested in psychiatry due to the way psychiatrist are able to look past the patient title and treat the person. Student Dr. Nkemeh enjoys the prospect of interacting on a deeper level with people and really getting the opportunity to able to develop a good rapport and relationship. He believes mental health is one of the most important areas that requires truly dedicated and selfless individuals to combat the negativity that affects the lives of all. He hopes to serve you all in this same way as we each make our journeys towards our careers caring for others. Welcome to the E-board!
Community Service Co-Chair: Demetrius Durham is a MS4 from Freehold, New Jersey. Student Dr. Durham is interested in Addiction Psychiatry and looks forward to serving as your Community Service Co-Chair of the Lloyd C. Elam Psychiatry Club! Welcome to the E-board!
Co-Treasurer: Joy Patel is a current MS4 and has been a Tennessee native since 2003 when his family moved here from India. Student Dr. Patel has always been into art, understanding human behavior, and transferring those emotions into a blank piece of paper. That passion has led him to Psychiatry. He looks forward to being able to be a part of this field and be a productive member of the mental health community. Welcome to the Team!
Secretary: Terrance Embry is a MS4 from Cleveland, Ohio. He is interested in dual degree Internal Medicine-Psychiatry programs. His goal is to improve the health of the LGBTQ+ community through mental health and infectious disease interventions. Though originally interested in surgery and versed in otolaryngology research, Student Dr. Embry is now taking heed to his calling in the field of Pscyhiatry. His larger-than-life ambitions paired with his skills in organization and communication make him the perfect addition to the team.
